Setting the bar awfully low, eh MSNBC?

(Hollywood Reporter) β€” Now that the political season is heating up, Meghan McCain — daughter of erstwhile Republican presidential candidate John McCain, will be appearing on MSNBC more often — and as a paid contributor.

McCain makes her debut on the network (as a staffer) Monday at noon on NOW with Alex Wagner.

In a statement released by MSNBC on Monday, McCain said: β€œIt’s a unique opportunity to share my perspective as a Republican on a network I respect and have built a relationship with over the past two years.”

McCain has been a frequent guest on MSNBC since 2009. She wrote a memoir, Dirty Sexy Politics, about her time on the campaign trail with her father.
