Brain transplant?

(US News) — Americans have witnessed one major political “Comeback Kid” in their lifetime, but President Obama is no Bill Clinton, according to our latest Washington Whispers poll.

Asked what Obama could do to stage a political comeback like Clinton, over 39 percent said “there’s nothing he can do to win.”

But 25 percent said he is on the right track by pushing to raise taxes on the rich, with still another 18 percent suggesting that he seek a bigger stimulus package to create jobs.

While our poll jives with other national polls on the president’s political plight, it revealed a major split between African Americans and whites.

For example, only 10.6 percent of blacks polled said that the president can’t state a political comeback, as did Clinton several times in his career. But 45.4 percent of whites said that Obama is out of luck. See the full poll details here.
