The NYC limousine libs are always good for a few million.

Washington (CNN) — President Barack Obama heads to New York City Monday afternoon, for three days of meetings at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

But with his re-election 14 months away, the president will fit in some politics. According to the White House schedule, Obama will headline a Democratic National Committee event at a private residence in New York City Monday evening.

A source with knowledge of the gathering says approximately 60 people will attend the fundraiser, with tickets for the event listed at $35,800 per person, the maximum amount an individual can contribute to a campaign and a party committee per year. The money raised from the fundraiser will go to the Obama Victory Fund, with the proceeds shared by the president’s re-election campaign and the DNC.

The president and the DNC combined to raise a record $86 million in the second quarter of this year. The third quarter of fundraising comes to a close at the end of the month.
