(LifeNews) — For the second time in a week, the Planned Parenthood abortion business has emailed its members asking them to complain to Texas governor and Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry about his pro-life advocacy.
Planned Parenthood sent a fundraising email to its members over the weekend attacking Perry. To ensure its members know Perry doesn’t support Planned Parenthood’s agenda, the fundraising email contains slammed Perry and his pro-life record and urged its membership to send him an email through its lobbying web site complaining about Perry’s pro-life accomplishments.
The new email also urges abortion advocates to complain to Perry and it includes new attacks on him for revoking taxpayer funding for the abortion business and signing a bill into law allowing women a chance to see an ultrasound of their unborn child before an abortion.
“Texas Governor Rick Perry has taken things too far in Texas. He’s attacking Planned Parenthood and blocking women’s access to health care — and it’s up to us to stop him,” Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards says in the email. “I’m appalled by what is happening in my home state. Governor Rick Perry and the Texas legislature have launched a relentless assault on Planned Parenthood.”
Richards describes the pro-life bill to help women see an ultrasound this way: “Gov. Perry and anti-women’s health legislators in Texas passed a bill that would force women seeking abortion care to view a sonogram. It would also require doctors to read an anti-choice script written by the anti-choice legislature. To add to the cruelty, the only way to avoid these burdens would be for women to certify in writing that they are pregnant due to rape or incest.”
