Should be no surprise Grijalva is chairman of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
(Politico) — Congressional Progressive Congress Chairman Raul Grijalva on Wednesday panned the news that President Obama will propose a roughly $300 billion jobs package in his speech before Congress on Thursday.
Grijalva expressed frustration that details of the plan were being leaked in the media before the White House consulted Democrats in Congress.
“We feel that his package is being outlined in the press,” Grijalva said on MSNBC. “Three-hundred billion is not big enough.”
In a letter to Obama on Tuesday, members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, the Congressional Black Caucus, the Congressional Progressive Caucus and the Congressional Asian and Pacific American Caucus called on him to meet with Democrats before he reveals his jobs plan.
