(Townhall) — For those who aren’t Star Trek fans, the Borg as depicted on the show was a race of beings that combined to create “a hive mind, or singular consciousness which incorporates all [individuals in their community] everywhere,” says the website Trek Mania. “After individuality has been stripped, and assimilation into the collective has taken place, a typical Borg drone will be programmed for certain . . . tasks.”
That sounds an awful lot like the progressives we all know and . . . well, we all know.
Well the geniuses on the progressive left have decided that the county’s premier abortion provider, Planned Parenthood should take on “certain union tasks.”
In short, they are trying to put the union “hood” back in Planned Parenthood.
Local Planned Parenthood “healthcare” workers in Oregon voted last week to hook up with their partners in crime, the SEIU local Borg, in a vote that wasn’t close.
The process of assimilation has begun.
“161 care providers at Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette (PPCW) voted to form a union with SEIU Local 49 in a National Labor Relations Board Election (NLRB), says the Lund Report. “The vote was a strong majority for the union with a tally of: 97 yes for the union and 43 no.”
If further local Planned Parenthood shops decide to unionize under SEIU, if would prove a very complicated — although admittedly ironic twist, and certainly one full of poetic justice- for the brazen abortion provider.
