Note to MoveOn.Org, it was lame on Sunday when you along with Axelrod and Kerry pushed it and it’s even lamer today.

We’ve had enough. Late Friday afternoon, the United States had its credit rating downgraded for the first time in our history. The “tea party downgrade” came largely because Republicans in Congress blocked each and every attempt to make the rich and big corporations pay their fair share. It’s up to us to make sure Congress hears how angry we are at what’s happening right now in America.

That’s why grassroots leaders from the American Dream movement are organizing hundreds of “Jobs Not Cuts” events nationwide on Wednesday, August 10, to kick off a month of action during the congressional recess (check out the original invite below). If enough of us show up to express our disgust, we’ll make sure Congress and the media hear our message loud and clear: Congress has to stop us from falling into a tea party recession — we need to create jobs and invest in America instead.
