What are the odds Reid even knows what the word intransigence means?
(The Hill) — After a morning meeting at the White House and an evening meeting at the Capitol, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said he was “disappointed in the status of negotiations with my Republican colleagues.”
Congressional leaders began negotiations amongst themselves and without President Obama on Saturday, after House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) said he was discontinuing talks with the White House. . . .
“I hope that Speaker Boehner and Leader McConnell will reconsider their intransigence,” Reid said in his statement. “Their unwillingness to compromise is pushing us to the brink of a default on the full faith and credit of the United States. We have run out of time for politics. Now is the time for cooperation.”
