The only reason the Golfer-in-Chief did not hit the links today is because he knows everybody is watching him.

ABC — President Obama and Speaker of the House John Boehner may not be able to reach an agreement to cut spending and raise the debt limit, but they both agree that it’s too hot today for golf.

At the beginning of today’s 11:00 am debt negotiations meeting, President Obama and Speaker Boehner engaged in light banter about the sport they both love to play on weekends.

“I think everybody agrees it’s too hot to play golf today,” Obama told Boehner.
