As Rep. Anthony Weiner continues to face calls for his immediate resignation, a new poll finds six in 10 Americans agree with those who want him out of Congress — and only eight percent have a favorable view of the lawmaker.
A Public Policy Polling survey released Tuesday — the first national poll on Weiner — found 60 percent of registered voters across the country saying they want to see the New York Democrat step down after admitting he lied about sending lewd photos to women he met online.
Twenty-five percent of those surveyed said they don’t think he needs to quit, while another 15 percent said they were not sure, according to the poll.
