Clueless to the very end.
(The Hill)– Michael Steele doesn’t quite know why he lost his job as Republican National Committee chairman, he said Wednesday.
In response to a question by CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, Steele said the Republican Party wanted someone with a different style. He lost his reelection last week to Wisconsin GOP Chairman Reince Priebus.
“I’ve been trying to figure that one out myself as well, and I think the reality is they wanted someone different in there,” Steele said. “They wanted someone who had a different tone than I did. That’s fine.”
Steele said he was disappointed that he was voted out by the Republican Party.
“The only thing I ever wanted to do was do the job,” Steele said.
