New York Sen. Chuck Schumer strongly criticized Gov. Chris Christie for canceling the ARC tunnel project that would have added a new rail tunnel between New Jersey and Manhattan.

But at a press conference in Newark to announce the approval of 23 new charter schools across New Jersey, Christie responded to Schumer’s criticism by saying the New Jersey would not be able to afford any cost overruns on the project, noting that unless Schumer was able to contribute another $5 billion dollars, he should “mind his manners on the other side of the Hudson River.”
