KALAYA: A landmine blast killed five militants in the Orakzai tribal region on Saturday, television reports said.

The explosion took place in Orakzai’s Ali Sherzai village, one report said.

The militants were killed when a vehicle they were riding in struck a landmine, the report said.

Security forces arrived at the site of the blast soon after.
