While the majority of about 180 legislators present voted in favor of the resolution, backed by most Shiite members of parliament, many Sunni and Kurdish legislators did not show up for the session because they opposed abolishing the deal.

There are about 5200 U.S. troops presently in Iran and we give billions to help support the government. So it remains to be seen if this is a face-saving measure for the pro-Iran folks or whether they will follow through.

Most of the people don’t want Iran but the pro-Iran folks have the power in the government because the Obama administration did nothing to stop it, indeed reports indicate they facilitated it.
