For months, furious protests have battered Iraq, driven by the pervasive influence of a foreign power: Iran. But now protesters have turned their sights on the U.S. So what happened? https://t.co/dV6LtWPl4Y

This tweet is complete nonsense.
They’re claiming the protesters who have protested for months against Iran’s influence of the country are now mad at the U.S. airstrikes and attacked the embassy.
But it isn’t even the same people. The people who attacked the embassy were pro-Iranian militia who have actually been killing those protesters. The pro-Iranians are the ones who were behind a rocket attack that killed an American contractor and wounded other Americans, that’s why the U.S. had retaliatory strikes.
The Iraqi protesters are against the people who attacked the embassy and the NY Times is trying to tag them and skip over who really is behind it.
