President Trump has been granted a temporary victory in his effort to shield his financial records from House Democrats, and by an unlikely source — Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg.
Ginsberg on Friday temporarily blocked a subpoena for President Trump’s financial records issued by a lower court, a report said.
The stay granted by Ginsberg will hold the release of Trump’s records held by Deutsche Bank AG and Capital One Financial Corp until at least Dec. 13, CNBC reported.
The 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals ruled earlier this week that the banks will have to comply with a subpoena issued by House Democrats and turn over the records to the chamber.
