Twitter lit up last night with information that there was a “new claim” about Justice Brett Kavanaugh in a new book out from New York Times reporters.
Problem was that once you looked at it, it not only wasn’t “new,” it again isn’t even real.
Supposedly, a classmate, Max Stier, saw Kavanaugh expose himself to another girl at another drunken party and his friends put his penis in the hand of a female student named Tracey Harmon.
Except the problem is that this allegation was one that was found not credible during the hearing with Harmon herself not even supporting it, saying she has no memory of it happening.
Many people are buzzing about a "new allegation" about Kavanaugh. But this is even weaker than the others. The alleged victim HERSELF denies any knowledge of it. Has this smear campaign really gotten that ridiculous? https://t.co/fkQAHe8gvq

This is the blockbuster "new allegation" against Kavanaugh. Except it's not actually new. It was shopped to Senate Democrats at the time and they apparently found it impossible to nail down, so they ignored it – the same Senators who found the "rape boat" allegations plausible. pic.twitter.com/0183DKr0q2

And there’s another problem with the story.
The “witness” Max Stier? He was a former Clinton attorney who represented Bill Clinton during the Starr investigation. And he was not willing to publicly speak about the claim.
Kavanaugh was working on the other side of the Starr investigation. If this were true, why didn’t Stier allege it at the time?
So why are they trying to resurrect more hits on Kavanaugh? They’re obviously worried that Trump will have another chance to appoint another Justice.
