Trump claims without evidence to an audience that includes 9/11 first responders: "I was down there [at Ground Zero] also, but I'm not considering myself a first responder, but I was down there. I spent a lot of time down there with you."

No evidence? Except everyone knew he was there from reports.
Here’s one from NBC two days after the attack:
Hey, check out this great video of NBC News finding out from President Trump what the aftermath is like since he was there pic.twitter.com/1ci1ISDOLo

He was also interviewed by German media while there on September 12.

And there are other pictures of him there a week later.

Also here’s Bernard Kerik, the man who was NYC Police Commissioner at the time. He calls out CNN for lying about it.
President @realDonaldTrump was in fact at Ground Zero many times, supporting, motivating, and inspiring first responders, no different than Mariah Carey, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and dozens of other celebrities and sports figures that were there in support of the troops. @CNN lies. https://t.co/M6rcdgK4u9

This is all about trying to mute something good Trump does, the signing of the bill, to twist it into something not good.
