Georgia state legislator Erica Thomas got a lot of fans on the left in the last couple of days when she accused a man of telling her to “go back to her country” while in line at the grocery store. But it turns out that that wasn’t true and she backed off the story, admitting not only that he didn’t say it but that she told him, a Cuban-American anti-Trump Democrat, to “go back.”
But this wasn’t her first time at the accusation rodeo:
At the pool @Westin and after the waitress ask the Caucasian people on both sides of me for their order and skipped over me minutes later the pool boy ask me for my room key. This can not be real right now. I am a guest too right. #racist

Marriott responded:
Will do

But it’s not clear what if anything was done.
And in a hilarious twist, guess who she’s a fan of? Life is stranger than fiction.
Going downtown Atlanta for an event I hope I magically bump into @JussieSmollett #biggestfan
