Theatrics on parade. And they ignored it and called it a manufactured crisis for months and even now all voted against humanitarian aid. She doesn’t need to be sworn in, it’s still a crime to lie to Congress even if you’re not sworn in.
Prior to testifying to the House Oversight and Reform Committee on the conditions of the border detention facilities, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made an unusual request: she wanted to be sworn in.
Chairman Elijah Cummings obliged the New York Democrat’s request, but noted, “We usually don’t require a swearing in.”
“Ms. Ocasio-Cortez is more interested in scoring political points than actually solving the crisis at the southern border,” a Republican source close to the committee told the Washington Examiner.
