Novel excuse. ‘Pneumonia’ can only last so long.
Via WBAL:
Mayor Catherine Pugh’s attorney Steven Silverman said that the mayor is not “lucid” to decide whether to resign due to her physical and mental state.
Silverman spent hours with Pugh in her home on Thursday following the raids of six locations concerning her ongoing investigation, officials say.
“She is not in a very good place physically and mentally,” Silverman said. “She doesn’t have the energy to focus for an extensive period of time in order to make important decisions, so we just need to get that to place.”
Pugh’s office issued a statement on April 1 saying that she will be taking a medical leave of absence to heal from pneumonia.
