Bun B shot a would-be armed robber at his Houston home on Tuesday (April 23), ABC 13 has confirmed. According to ABC, a man tried to steal his wife’s car, so the H-Town legend exercised his Second Amendment rights.
Houston PD told ABC that the incident occurred in the late afternoon on Tuesday, and it began with a knock on the door. When Bun’s wife, Queenie, opened it, she found a masked gunman on the other side who was demanding valuables, so she directed him to her Audi. Police say that Bun heard the commotion from upstairs, and immediately grabbed his gun and ran to confront the intruder.
Several shots were fired during Bun’s argument with the suspect, who has been identified as DeMonte Jackson, before he fled on foot and left his gun behind. He showed up at a Houston-area hospital hours later and was treated for a gunshot wound to his shoulder—and then was promptly arrested on 2 counts of aggravated robbery with a weapon and one count of burglary.
