Jussie Smollett’s attorneys are the targets of a defamation suit filed by Olabinjo and Amibola Osundairo, the Nigerian brothers Smollett says attacked him in a “hate crime” incident in January.
The suit was filed in the United States District Court Tuesday morning, attorney Gregory Kulis said in a press conference, “because there we believe we will get a fair venue.” Kulis said there are “consequences” for the actions of Smollett attorneys Mark Geragos and Tina Glandian, and “that those consequences are decided in a court of law, not on a cable news network.”
