Say what?
Just got a tip from my Chicago PD source that SA Kim Foxx is going to drop the charges against #JussieSmollett. The question @Chicago_Police now have for him is how does #smollett plan to reimburse the city for all the money that was spent on his investigation?

Didn’t she recuse herself because of the outreach of the former Obama chief of staff and the Smollett family? So what is she doing here?

Unbelievable.
Update:
Oh this is just unreal:

Are they kidding? He’s done b.s. stuff and we get to keep his bond (translate: he paid us off), so he’s free?
Update:
Chicago PD superintendent Eddie Johnson was not told the charges were going to be dropped and has a statement coming. The Chicago Police Union had previously called for an investigation into the State’s Attorney for her interference in the case.
NEW: Chicago police tell our @SchulteABC7 that superintendent Eddie Johnson was not told about Smollett charges being dropped today. Johnson learned about it while at a scheduled police graduation at Navy Pier.

What was also noteworthy about this news conference with Chicago police was that Johnson also said Smollett was responsible for the threat letter sent to Fox studios in Chicago. That’s an FBI case still on going. https://t.co/Ii6DCbmCTF
