Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., announced on Tuesday he will make another bid for president by entering the already crowded 2020 race.
Sanders made the announcement in an interview with Vermont Public Radio. The full interview is set to be released later Tuesday morning.
“We began the political revolution in the 2016 campaign, and now it’s time to move that revolution forward,” he told the radio station.
Sanders also released a video announcing his intentions to run.
While blasting President Trump as a “pathological liar,” Sanders said he’s running to pursue policies like universal health care and a $15 minimum wage — items he championed in 2016 but have since been adopted by a number of other candidates in the field.
