Border Patrol just released this video showing a group of 247 migrants illegally crossing the border in southwest New Mexico. This was reportedly Wednesday. On Thursday agents encountered another large group including Central American families and unaccompanied minors @KOB4 pic.twitter.com/VedMVH3C1A

The Secure Fencing Act was passed in 2006. It was supposed to ensure double barrier physical fencing over 700 miles, with an area in between for Border Patrol to drive through and other security measures. The border is 1954 miles long.
But the Act was amended shortly thereafter to allow for whatever the DHS thought was appropriate for a particular area. Now that’s logical because not every area was conducive to a double barrier fence or needed it. But that allowed the Obama admin to basically gut the whole Act. They put vehicular fencing over 300 miles and some pedestrian fencing over the rest. What the Act envisioned was never put in place.
This is the fencing they have over 300 miles. Why bother?
