A West Virginia State Police trooper was pulled from a fiery wreck by a Good Samaritan Tuesday morning.

Trooper Brian C. McCormick’s cruiser left the road and struck a tree along Route 2 in Ashton around 3:40 a.m. before catching fire, according to WSAZ-TV.
