Time for the Schumer buddy, Jon Tester to go.

Donald Trump Jr. campaigned Friday in Great Falls on behalf of two Republican candidates he hopes will win Nov. 6 and go to Washington, D.C., to support his father’s efforts as president.

“He’s made a promise to you and he’s delivering,” Trump Jr. told nearly 250 people during a rally at the vacant First Interstate Bank building as the midterm elections loom. “And the media spends all day killing him for doing the things he said he’d do.”

He said Trump’s presidency has been a success, no matter what metric was used.

Trump Jr. listed wins in foreign policy and the economy and said the economy has been such a success that former President Barack Obama has been trying to take credit for it.
He also noted that his young daughter Chloe knew as much about North Korea as all the experts on TV news shows.

The Electric City will be a political battlefield this weekend as Democrats plan a rally Saturday evening .

Trump Jr.’s appearance was to spark the party faithful into casting ballots and to get others to support the GOP as he campaigned for Matt Rosendale for the U.S. Senate and returning GOP Rep. Greg Gianforte to the House for another two-year term.

Rosendale, now serving as state auditor, is running against Sen. Jon Tester, a Democratic incumbent and Big Sandy farmer who is seeking a third term. Libertarian Rick Breckenridge, who is a surveyor, is in the race as well.

“It’s time for a change,” Rosendale said. “Jon has been too wrong for too long.”

Rosendale said he would serve only two six-year terms.

“In 12 years the job will be done and I will return to my ranch,” he said.

Gianforte, a high-tech entrepreneur, is running against Democrat Kathleen Williams, a former state lawmaker and natural resource expert and Libertarian Elinor Swanson, an attorney.

Trump Jr. praised Gianforte’s business savvy.

“Who has brought more jobs to Montana than Greg Gianforte,” he asked. “He turned Montana into a tech hub.”

Gianforte praised the job Trump has been doing. He said he wants to help the president get the wall built along the Mexico border. He said the No. 1 job of the federal government is national security and talked about efforts to aid the military.

He also said he was proud of his efforts to curb human trafficking.

Tester angered Trump when he derailed the nomination of Dr. Ronny Jackson to head Veterans Affairs by calling Jackson’s character into action. The president called on Tester to resign. Tester has defended his actions, saying it was in the best interest of veterans.

Trump Jr. touched on that controversy during his nearly Friday, saying Tester “ruined” Jackson’s life.

He said there was no proof of the allegations, but worst of all there were “no consequences” for Tester.[…]

Among those at the rally were Lisa Phillips and her son, Bridger, both wearing shirts supporting the president.

“I like what he is doing with America, bringing jobs back,” said Bridger, 14, who was wearing a “Future Deplorable” shirt, referencing a comment Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton made about Trump supporters during the 2016 election.

They said they stood in line nine hours when the president appeared in Great Falls on July 5.

“It was history in the making,” Lisa, whose shirt said “#45 is my president”, said. “I absolutely enjoyed it.”
