President Trump’s MAGA fans still want to “lock her up!” — but Hillary Clinton with Bubba in tow has other plans: a speaking tour that debuts in Vegas weeks after the midterms.
The Clintons announced Monday they will visit cities this year and next across North America in a series of conversations dubbed “An Evening with President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.”
Tickets, depending on the seat and venue, range from $70 to $699.
The tour will be produced by promoter Live Nation, the company behind Michelle Obama’s massive tour to promote her new book as well as tours for Beyoncé, Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars.
The couple will hold joint conversations at the shows and share “stories and inspiring anecdotes that shaped their historic careers in public service, while also discussing issues of the day and looking toward the future,” Live Nation said.
The Clintons remain a favorite target of President Trump and Republicans, and the revelation just weeks before the Nov. 6 midterms could give the GOP fresh fodder and create headaches for Democrats seeking to move on from the 2016 election.
Twitter took notice.
“no thank you. the only tour i want to see the Clinton’s on is a jail tour. #LockHerUp,” posted self-described conservative anna katherine.
“OMG>>>What morons will attend this?? What hypocrisy?? What about #MeToo! Maybe they should sit this one out! #Hillary and Bill Clinton to go on tour this year,” wrote another Trump backer, Lady De-Plorable.
Some Democrats didn’t think it was such a swell idea either.
“Just imagine if George W and Laura would do this. The idea is plain old dumb for the Clintons to go on tour. Just give it a rest will you two. We don’t need this now.!!!” tweeted Pati, a “Blue Wave” supporter.
