A Minneapolis man is in custody today after authorities say he was disruptive and uncooperative during Thursday’s presidential rally at Mayo Civic Center, something he allegedly also did during President Donald Trump’s visit to Duluth in June.

Samuel Spadino, 36, was initially spotted by the Trump campaign’s private security, said Lt. Mike Sadauskis of the Rochester Police Department. He was screaming, “Dad! Dad!” repeatedly, Sadauskis said.

When security members tried to escort Spadino out of the arena, he reportedly resisted, then actively fought with them. That’s when Rochester police officers provided assistance, Sadauskis said, and Spadino resisted them as well.

He was eventually arrested, and could face charges of gross misdemeanor obstructing the legal process; misdemeanor disorderly conduct and trespassing.

Spadino is being held in the Olmsted County Detention Center per the request of federal officials, Sadauskis said, who are considering federal charges.
