What would Spartacus do?

The woman who accused U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault should be given more time to prepare for a Senate hearing, U.S. Sen. Cory Booker said.
Booker, a member of the panel considering Kavanaugh’s nomination, said Christine Blasey Ford should not be forced to testify on Monday and there should be an independent investigation of her charges beforehand.
“Will we listen to a woman who is making a credible accusation?” Booker, D-N.J., told reporters after he delivered a rollicking address at the state Democratic Committee’s convention in Atlantic City. “We should be honoring a process that gives her time to prepare.” […]
“The way she’s being treated, to me, is unbecoming of her dignity and the goodness of the United States Senate,” Booker said. “She’s been experiencing death threats, she’s had to move out of her home and now we want to bully her into a Monday hearing? Let’s all take a deep breath, give her a few more days and let’s all hear the truth.”
