The law firm representing Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser said on Thursday that Christine Blasey Ford would be willing to testify next week to the Senate Judiciary Committee if certain conditions are met; it appears that an FBI investigation is no longer a demand, although it is still preferred.
CNN reports that Ford’s lawyers sent an email to the Senate Judiciary Committee saying that Ford “would be prepared to testify next week” if she is given “terms that are fair and which ensure her safety.”
The email says that while Ford is prepared to testify next week, “Monday is not possible and the Committee’s insistence that it occur then is arbitrary in any event.”
