Pomona police officers lined up outside an elementary school on the fist day of school for the son of a slain officer.
Five-year-old Greggorio Casillas was welcomed this week by a police motorcade to Upland Elementary School in Upland, California east of Los Angeles.
His father, 30-year-old Gregory Casillas was shot and killed in the line of duty last March.
Pomona Police Department Chief Michael Olivieri said he hoped the honor would show Casillas what his father’s service to the department meant, according to reports.
