Hillary isn’t happy.

Hillary Clinton is giving her nod of approval to a Democratic candidate in a key House race one day before voters go to the polls to pick their party’s nominee as socialist star Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez endorsed an alternative contender.
Clinton recorded a robocall for Democrat Haley Stevens, encouraging voters to pick President Barack Obama’s chief of staff on his Auto Task Force in Tuesday’s primary.
And Ocasio-Cortez, a self-proclaimed socialist who had a shocking win against incumbent Rep. Joe Crowley in their June primary contest, endorsed former Department of Homeland Security official Fayrouz Saad earlier this month.
The rival endorsements set up a contest of sorts between the party’s liberal wing and its more moderate side, a repeat of what the party went through in the 2016 presidential party when Clinton battled Sen. Bernie Sanders for the nomination.
Stevens and Saad are two of five Democratic contenders vying to be the nominee to replace retiring Republican Rep. David Trott, in a House contest seen as a key pickup opportunity for Democrats as they try to retake control of the lower chamber of Congress.
Ocasio-Cortez last week attended a get-out-the-vote rally for Saad and Rashida Tlaib, a House candidate in a neighboring district. Both women are attempting to be the first Muslim woman elected to Congress.
Clinton, meanwhile, praised Stevens for helping save 200,000 Michigan jobs during her work in the Obama administration. The auto industry is a huge employer in the state.
‘Hello, this is Hillary Clinton and I’m calling to encourage you to cast your vote on Tuesday for a fresh, new Michigan leader, Haley Stevens,’ the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee says in the call.
‘Haley served as the chief of staff to the Auto Rescue, she helped save 200,000 Michigan jobs, and she knows how to support Michigan’s advanced manufacturing economy, especially through training opportunities. I’ve seen Haley in action. We can count on her to protect the gains we’ve made with Obamacare. So please, vote for Haley Stevens, on Tuesday. Thank you, very much.’
Stevens is a native of the district and grew up there.
