Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the congressional candidate from New York that recently beat a Democratic party leader in a surprising primary, is in Los Angeles today, but not to meet with Hollywood celebrities.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Ocasio-Cortez is on a two-day trip to Los Angeles where she has two scheduled sold-out events. The first event was a luncheon earlier today co-hosted by several left-wing organizations including Occupy ICE L.A. and several “revolution” organizations. The second event will be hosted tomorrow night by the Democratic Socialists of America L.A chapter at a venue with a capacity of 700.
