Two illegal immigrants are among four persons federally charged in connection to fatal drug overdoses in Middle Tennessee.
The Middle Tennessee District of the Department of Justice says a Nashville grand jury indicted the four men on nine counts on Thursday.
39-year-old Juan Manuel Morales-Rodriguez of Mexico, 26-year-old Juan Samudio-Castro of Mexico, 23-year-old Austin Sneed and 22-year-old Jacob Beaver of Columbia have each been charged.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, all four are accused of conspiracy to distribute and possess fentanyl and heroin resulting in death and bodily injury. Morales-Rodriguez and Samudia-Castro also face six counts of distribution. Morales-Rodriguez is also charged is aggravated illegal reentry to the country.
