Rosenstein has continued to jerk around the Republicans on documents. And they keep promising to get tough.
Via Daily Caller:
An impeachment document to remove Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein could be filed as soon as Monday, three conservative Capitol Hill sources have told Politico.
Politico reports that House Freedom Caucus Chairman Rep. Mark Meadows had the impeachment document on the House floor even while Rosenstein was speaking to reporters Friday about the indictments of Russian intelligence officers for alleged 2016 election interference.
Politico’s sources caution that the timing is “still fluid.”
“It has not been filed today,” Meadows spokesman Ben Williamson told Politico, but didn’t rule out that the document could be filed at some point next week as Meadows and Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan try to build Republican support.
