In a massive midterms gift to Republicans, “Abolish ICE” has become the Democratic Party’s almost official slogan, promoted most prominently by “the future” of the party, Democratic Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. And anti-ICE activists just keep doing increasingly unhinged stuff to make sure Americans don’t miss just how radical those supporting the movement are.
An “Abolish ICE” protest in Columbus, Ohio on Monday went completely off the rails when activists decided to make an important statement about dismantling immigration enforcement and opening up the borders by . . . suspending a woman from a giant wooden contraption, duct-taping a dude to the base, and then chanting “F*** the Police!” for the news cameras.
