Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, mocked the speculation over President Trump’s pick as the next Supreme Court justice, saying he had heard that Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, who was once considered a possible nominee, was flying to Washington.

Lee’s travel might have been explained by the fact that the Senate was coming back into session Monday for the first time since the Fourth of July holiday.

Trump had recently narrowed his shortlist to four judges, which did not include Lee.
