Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand said that if President Trump’s next Supreme Court appointment is approved, the court could “criminalize women.”

“This is a line that’s been drawn about whether we are going to criminalize women — whether we are going to be arresting women for making decisions about their bodies. This is not a fire drill. This is not a hypothetical case,” Gillibrand said.

This is presumably in reference to the idea that “Roe v. Wade,” the famous Supreme Court case that legalized abortion in all 50 states, could be overturned by a reshaped Supreme Court.
