Restaurants are reluctant to send their deliverymen to the Brooklyn Army base where an undocumented pizza deliveryman was nabbed by immigration officials.

“We don’t need a problem with them,” said Julianna Oliverio, 32, a cashier at Goustaro deli in Bay Ridge.

Pablo Villavicencio was arrested last Friday by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents as he delivered pizza to the Brooklyn Army base.

Villavicencio, 35, has had no criminal record since he came to the U.S. from Ecuador.

Food deliverymen have always been wary of the delivering food to the area, workers said.

They typically meet military personnel outside the main entrance so they don’t have to produce a driver’s license or undergo a background check.

“Our guys are not allowed in there at all,” Oliverio said. “We don’t tell our guys to go in there. Have them to meet them at the gate.”[…]

In 2010, Villavicencio had agreed to voluntarily leave the country, according to ICE. But he remained without permission.
