A woman who fired off rounds from a downtown San Diego parking structure located along the route of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon on Sunday morning, police said.

“There is no longer a threat to the community. The scene is secure. The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon has resumed,” police said in a statement.

The incident began as a call about a misdemeanor hit-and-run incident around 10:50 a.m., said San Diego police Sgt. Tom Sullivan.

It’s unclear when the shooting started, but police said about 11:40 a.m., the woman had slid underneath a parked car on the 8th floor of the San Diego Concourse parking structure at 100 W. C Street and was holding a gun to her face.

Soon after, police at the scene said the woman was taken into custody.

Several media outlets reported an officer accidentally shot himself during the incident and was taken a hospital with injuries that weren’t life-threatening.
