KABUL, April 19 (Xinhua) — Two militants of Taliban insurgent group have been killed after an improvised explosive device (IED) they were planting along a road detonated prematurely, the Afghan Defense Ministry said Thursday.
The incident occurred on Wednesday in Durrahi Shir Khan Bandar, a locality in northern Kunduz province, the ministry said in a statement.
Taliban militants and Islamic State fighters have been using IEDs to make roadside bombs and landmines for targeting security forces.
