A Black Lives Matter chapter plans to protest three times a week until justice has been reached for a black man fatally shot by police officers.
Black Lives Matter Sacramento, Calif., chapter founder Tanya Faison said the group will continue with their protests until the officers who shot Stephon Clark are fired and indicted, reported Capital Public Radio.
“We’re going to be here every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday until we get justice,” Faison said Wednesday.
Two Sacramento police officers fatally shot Clark on March 18, believing him to be armed. The officers were responding to a call about a man breaking into cars in the neighborhood. Officers never recovered a gun and only found a cellphone by Clark’s body.
