Authorities in California are investigating an active shooter situation at YouTube headquarters in San Bruno.
The City Manager of San Bruno said multiple 911 callers reported a shooting at YouTube headquarters.
The San Mateo County Sheriff’s confirmed to the Bay Area ABC affiliate that an active shooter situation is taking place place on the campus.
Another law enforcement source told the ABC affiliate that “the shooter is a white, adult female wearing a dark top and head scarf.”
The TV station is reporting there are several injuries.
A shooting at YouTube headquarters in San Bruno, California Tuesday left several people hospitalized, according to reports. The shooter is believed to have died from a self-inflicted wound, San Bruno Police Chief Ed Barberini told a press conference.
KGO’s Dan Noyes reported that a a law enforcement source said the shooter is a white, adult female wearing a dark top and head scarf. Fox News reported that the woman is reported to have shot her boyfriend.
Barberini confirmed the suspect is female.
A local news report that was broadcast on Fox News quoted a spokesperson from San Francisco General Hospital as saying it is “receiving multiple patients” related to the shooting. The San Bruno city manager told a local news station that Stanford University Medical Center was expected to receive four or five patients.
