Larry King claimed Wednesday that the Second Amendment was instituted to “ward off slave uprisings” and no longer has a function in the 21st century.
King, standing outside of a restaurant in Beverly Hills, California, told TMZ that he agrees with former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, who wrote in a New York Times op-ed published Tuesday that the Second Amendment should be repealed.
“I favor changing the Second Amendment,” King said. “Yeah, repeal it.”
The former talk-show host added that he believes the Second Amendment was “poorly written.”
