Shepard Smith has signed a multiyear deal at Fox News Channel to extend his more than two-decade tenure there, the network announced on Thursday.
Smith is the host of the afternoon program “Shepard Smith Reporting” and is frequently the network’s go-to anchor for breaking news. Smith, 54, has been with Fox News since its inception in 1996.
“I am incredibly proud to be part of a group of journalists who helped build the FOX news division from scratch 22 years ago and extremely thankful for the opportunity to continue to lead our breaking news coverage for years to come,” Smith said in a statement.
