New York Congressman Joseph Crowley said Republicans must stop invoking House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi in attacks on Democratic candidates.

Crowley, a Democrat who represents Queens, is the chairman of the House Democratic caucus.

He was asked by a reporter about how Pennsylvania special election candidate Conor Lamb distanced himself from Pelosi during his campaign against State Rep. Rick Saccone (R-Allegheny).

Crowley said it was inappropriate for the GOP to use Pelosi to cast criticism on Lamb.
