He reported someone was after him. They checked it out and found out it wasn’t true but took him to the hospital.

Then his parents came to pick him up and he shot them.

Sound like a psychotic break. Did the police get the sign, “Someone is after me,” when they’re not? But looks like the hospital missed it too.
