Notice how he doesn’t deny Dems are behind it, he basically admits it. Republicans are finally fed up and calling for an end to this, and he’s just trying to save it. And he’s probably the leaker trying to direct focus away from himself.

California Rep. Adam Schiff decried recent leaks from former White House Communications Director Hope Hicks’ congressional testimony as “unfair” on Thursday, in a subtle rebuke of his fellow Democrats on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

“I think it was unfair to Hope Hicks that conversations as part of her testimony were leaked out of the committee. In fairness to her, I think that we should wait until we release the full transcripts of our witnesses to be talking in detail like that,” Schiff told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer.

The New York Times reported on Tuesday that Hicks told members of the committee that she has occasionally told “white lies” on behalf of President Donald Trump, for whom she has worked for three years.

Hicks tendered her resignation on Wednesday, though it is unclear if her testimony had anything to do with the decision.

Committee Democrats have been accused of being behind the leak, and Schiff did not deny to Blitzer that his side of the aisle was responsible.
